My Christmas Tree is STILL UP!

Happy New Year! Can't believe it is already four days into 2008 (twenty oh eight, as they like to call it here!) Hope your new year has already been adventuresome and that your knowledge of Him has already increased!

Rick and I stayed home on New Year's Eve after our "crowded" Christmas Eve experience on Orchard Road! It was nice to watch the fireworks from our window in our pajamas!

I still haven't taken my Christmas tree down. Just can't bring myself to do it. Rick bought some purple beads back before Christmas. I think I will add those to the tree and just celebrate Mardi Gras while I have it up! What do you think?

Rick bought me alot of local magazines for Christmas so I have had fun sifting through those. Most of them are about activities here in Singapore. I am ready to get ACTIVE. In fact, I attended my first Bible study this morning. It is just a three week "course" on the book of Ephesians but we meet from 9:30 - 12. The speaker is very good and it is nice to be with other women. I was invited to join a ladies' cell group, too, so that was exciting. It won't begin meeting until the last week in January. I will be out of town then but hopefully, will get started in it the first week of February.

Rick and I have also signed up for a Precept course on Genesis at a local church. We will only get to attend 3 of the 7 classes but couldn't pass up the chance to study my favorite book Precept style!

We are still receiving a few Christmas cards. Thanks to those who paid the extra to get them all the way to Singapore. Some of your cards that you sent to the Nashville address may have been returned. Sorry. For some reason the U.S. Post Office did not recognize that as our "valid" address, although our daughter lives there. So if they were returned, please send them to our Brownsville address. If you need that, email me.

We continue to discover the city on a daily basis!

Added a pic of our two college kids!
